Speaking of which, today my guest and I are going to be discussing the vagaries of present-day

artificial intelligence.

It's an unusually timely topic for our untimely meditations.

We don't often discuss issues of the day on this program.

We prefer the insights of night to the milky glare of day.

The most thought-provoking thing about our thought-provoking age is that we are still not thinking.

A century and a half later, that statement of Heidegger holds true more than ever.

So maybe the time has come.

Maybe it's time to let our cybernetic machines do our thinking for us.
