Summary
Halloween night was supposed to be simple fun—costumes, candy, and wandering through the neighborhood with family. But somewhere along the way, the mood shifted. The streets suddenly felt darker, quieter, wrong somehow.
That’s when the three of them noticed the house on the corner with the massive tree in the yard. Standing near it was something none of them have ever been able to explain.
At first, Claudia tried convincing herself there had to be a logical explanation. A prank. Someone trying to scare people. But the longer they watched, the less human the figure seemed to become.
And then it looked directly at them.
