It is our prayer that the message breathe the prayer silently to the Lord.

God will give you something definite tonight.

Not just, well, we had another meeting and heard another message and we're on our way.

No, I want you to pray specifically that God will show you one step of obedience he wants you to take.

Before we come to our text, just scan the chapter of the Psalm again with me.

Would you please?

Because we'll review for a moment.

The first four verses, we learned something about where revival praying begins.

It begins with God, of course, and a fresh glimpse of God.

And then when you come to the heart of the Psalm, beginning in verse 4, down through about verse 7,

you come to the heart of the prayer.

And, of course, the heart of the prayer is the heart, and God's working deeply.

Then in verse number eight, we learned something about being ready to hear what God's going to say.

Can I just tell you as we approach the word again tonight, God's getting ready to speak.

It's not just the preacher preaching tonight.

The real preacher, I work for the preacher.

I'm not the preacher.
