1:17.6	Thank you. prayer that the message will be a help to you today. We've had a great time in the gospel according to Mark this week, and I want you to open your Bible with me again, if you will.
1:19.4	Let's see how fast you can get there tonight.
1:22.9	To the gospel according to Mark, to Mark chapter number 11.
1:27.6	Now we're coming near the end of the life of the Lord Jesus.
1:31.8	When you get to Mark chapter number 11, he's drawing nearer to the cross.
1:36.4	By the way, the closer you get to the cross, the more serious things get.
1:43.2	And in Mark 11, Jesus is preparing for what we commonly refer to as the triumphal entry.
1:47.1	That's when Jesus was presented to the nation of Israel.
1:48.6	Remember, he rides in on this donkey.
1:50.4	We're going to see it in just a moment on a colt.
1:54.7	And he's presented to the nation of Israel as their king, and of course they're going to reject him.
1:55.5	And because of that, he is going to go to the cross.
2:00.2	He's going to die, of course.
2:01.4	That was his intention all along.
2:03.2	And then the Bible says that the gospel comes to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
2:08.3	Perhaps there are Jewish people in this room.
2:10.7	And I thank God for the nation of Israel.
