Would you find second

Corinthians in your Bible you know when I study first and second Corinthians I'm

always struck by the fact that God did so many amazing things in a church that was so

deeply carnal and yet the shocking thing is not just that the Lord did that for them,

but hallelujah, the Lord does that for us.

God did not put the letters of 1st and 2nd Corinthians in the Bible to show you their fleshliness.

He put them in the Bible to show you your fleshliness.

Isn't it easy to spot somebody else's sin?

I'm telling you now, I can spot your sin at 100 yards and tell you all about it.

But I'm blind many times to my own. That's why you need a mirror.

How many have you looked in a mirror this morning before you left the house? Be honest. How many have you looked in a mirror this morning before you left the house?

Be honest. How many have you looked in the mirror more than once? How many of you've already

looked in a mirror since you've been on this property? Yeah, honesty is good for us, isn't it? May I tell

it, the Word of God is the mirror, meaning that it's not only a lens on God, it is that, but it is a mirror on us.

So when you look in the word, when you look in a passage like the letters to the church at Corinth,

you're not looking at them, you're looking for what God wants to say to you.

Would you just breathe a prayer right now to God, Lord speak to me?

Lord, show me me, show me my need.
