Let's open the Word of God together again,

the 2nd Corinthians chapter number 8.

And we come tonight to the third ship of stewardship.

We've talked about fellowship.

That is our relationship to the church.

We've talked about worship.

That's our relationship to our God. We've talked about worship. That's our relationship to our God.

Tonight, I bring you to discipleship.

That is our relationship to Christ.

And I say it last, not because it's least, but because really it's the whole thing.

Discipleship is not a series of lessons. It is not a program. Somebody said, oh, yes, we have a

discipleship program. Well, that's great. But actually, discipleship is the whole Christian life.

It's following Jesus and coming near to Christ and learning more of Christ. May I just ask,

how many of you are in discipleship right now?

Would you raise your hand, please?

Let me give you a hint, if you're saved, that's you.

How many of you're in discipleship, would you raise your hand?

Because unless you're perfect, any perfect ones among us, you have not yet apprehended.

You're following after, is that right? So we come to Christ at salvation, but then we keep on coming and we keep on coming and we keep on coming.

Until the day we hear come up hither and come into the presence of God.
