We've already found a little entry point in the Bible study hour with the opening words in verse 1.

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant.

Let's all just pause right there and breathe a prayer to God.

Dear Lord, help us not be ignorant today.

But it is not some thing we're trying to come to know.

It is someone.

Read on, how that all our fathers were under the clown and all passed through the sea and were all baptized

unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea and did all eat the same spiritual meat and it all drink

the same spiritual drink now Now, time out.

Stop, just a moment.

Lift your head and look at me.

Paul, under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, is going all the way back to Exodus chapter

number 17.

Literally, this is fascinating to me.

Somebody said to me, are you an Old Testament guy or a New Testament guy?

Yes, the answer is yes.

He goes, all the Word of God reveals the God of the Word. They're not competitors.

They're completers. The Jehovah of the Old Testament is revealed in the Jesus of the New Testament.

You can't divide the Creator and the Christ. So the New Testament just picks up, right where the Old Testament left off, and brings us to Jesus.

And this is fascinating to me.
