Summary

Episode 221

In this podcast, New York Times best-selling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas discusses the astrology of the week and what it might mean for us all.

The astrology of the week of March 10th, 2025, is all about structure — or a lack thereof. Saturn and the Sun urge us to assess our priorities and the strength of our foundations. But during the total lunar eclipse in Virgo, our desire for routine and perfection gets muddled. This period introduces a tug-of-war between scrutiny and escapism that will play out over the next two years.

Let’s get into it.

This episode covers:

  • Mercury’s conjunction with Venus on Tuesday, March 11th

  • The Saturn cazimi on Wednesday, March 12th

  • The lunar eclipse in Virgo on Thursday, March 13th

  • The Sun’s sextile to Uranus on Friday, March 14th

  • The start of Mercury’s retrograde on Friday, March 14th

This episode was recorded on 02/24/2025.

Hello and welcome. This is the Astrology of the Week Ahead podcast. I'm your host,

0:07.7

your Astro Bestie, Channy Nicholas. We have another big, exciting week because it's March.

0:17.2

And that's just the deal with March. March 2025, if you have yet to hear me say this,

0:22.5

is one of the biggest astrological months of 2025. It is host to eclipse season, which we are

0:32.0

getting right into this week. It's also host to a Venus retrograde that started on March 1st. So you're now

0:40.4

very familiar with Venus retrograde, at least in part. And it's also host to a Mercury retrograde.

0:49.3

Isn't that cute that they're going to both retrograde together? and they're retrograding through the same signs

0:56.0

and they're actually meeting up this week. So as Mercury is stationing retrograde,

1:02.7

technically it doesn't station retrograde until Friday the 14th, but it's slowing down and

1:10.5

it meets up with Venus on Tuesday. Venus is already

1:13.7

retrograde. Mercury is about to retrograde. We're going to talk about what kind of messages from the

1:19.0

deep they are bringing us. What kind of messages about unity and intimacy and fighting the power

1:26.9

together, that they are definitely absolutely bringing to the surface,

1:32.6

bringing to the four. And then we have our first eclipse in Virgo near the South Node in a couple

1:39.5

of decades. This is a big deal when we have a new type of eclipse. An eclipse in and of itself is a big deal.

1:46.2

But when we have a new type of eclipse or an eclipse in a new sign,

1:51.0

in a sign that we haven't had in a while, again, near a node that hasn't been there for a couple of decades,

1:58.8

the nodes take a couple of decades to get back to the same sign,

2:03.0

so about 19 years. So when we have an eclipse for the first time in a sign that we haven't had

2:10.2

for a while with the north or south node there that hasn't been there for a while, you get the

2:15.0

picture. It's a whole new chapter that we're opening up.

2:19.4

And eclipses are times where things change rapidly. Eclipses are times where the events of life
