We live in a very mobile world.

Everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere.

Throughout Scripture, God often taught people the greatest lessons along the journey.

Today, we continue with Scott Pauli, our study through the great journeys of the Bible.

Our prayer is that you will rediscover the adventure of walking with God.

Isn't the Word of God wonderful? It is so rich, and I just absolutely love walking through it.

We're studying right now the great journeys of the Bible, and we've talked about a number of journeys

already, but I cannot go any further in the book of Genesis without stopping off in Genesis

chapter 24. Now, we've talked about Abraham's journey of faith and Sarah made the trip with him

and that he brings his son Isaac along. That's great. But the truth is most of us are not

going to be an Abraham or an Isaac. But I'm going to tell you what you can be. You can be a servant.

In Genesis 24 we find one of the great journeys of the Bible in the example

of Abraham's servant, Eleazar. He is a unique man, a man that is used of God to fulfill his part

in God's plan. His mission was mission impossible. Let me tell you. It was to go to a place

that he did not know to a people he was not well acquainted with and to pick out a bride for

Abraham's son, Isaac. Now you want to talk about a hard task. It's hard enough to find the right

person for yourself, much less for someone

else, and yet that was his mission. In Genesis 24 and verse number six, Abraham says this to him,

Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again. The Lord God of heaven, which took me from

my father's house and from the land of my kindred, and which spake

unto me, and that swear unto me saying, unto thy seed will I give this land, he shall send his angel

before thee, and thou shall take a wife unto my son from thence. The rest of the chapter tells the story
