Turn with me, please, to two openings this morning.

Let's look at 2 Peter, the third chapter, 2 Peter 3, and 2 Timothy 2.

In seeking the Lord about what to minister on

today and not just today

but you know how we do we usually

get on something and stay on it for weeks

sometimes months at a time

a central theme or

or truth or

principle in the word.

And in praying about it, I actually was kind of thinking about going some different directions

than the one we're looking at today.

But I believe I'm impressed to the Lord to go this way.

And of course, that's the way you ought to go.

In 2nd Peter, the third chapter and the ninth verse,

2nd Peter, 3 and 9, it says,

The Lord is not slack. How many could believe that before you read any further?

The Lord's not slack.

But he's not slack concerning his promise.

As some men count slackness,

but is long suffering to usward.

You know, the temptation is when things don't happen right away to begin to wonder or get discouraged.
