Worship has not ended. The highest way that we worship God

is by receiving His word. May our hearts be opened. In the gospel of Matthew Jesus said the

following, he said, blessed are those who have eyes to see. Blessed are those who have ears

to hear. I don't know about you, but I need the help of the Holy Spirit today to hear him. I'm not

interested in hearing my own voice. I hear it enough.

I'm going to hear the divine whisper of the Holy Spirit.

This is a place of calling.

There is nothing more powerful or precious in the church than a call of God, a vocation.

But folks, we live in a strange age. We live in a time where people have confused what

vocation is.

So when people speak about a call, they mistakenly think it's a call for them to be great.

A call is not about us.

It's about him. In the 16th century, there was a powerful revival that took Europe by storm.

The technical term of that revival was, it was called the disgulsed Carmelite revival.

I know that's a lot, right?

But I want to unpack those two words just for a moment.

These Carmelites were people like Elijah that climbed the mountain

and sought the fire of God for their generation.
