y'all have been praying about this sermon series for months and i knew that this moment was going to hit

where a lot of people are transitioning a lot of people are headed out for a season and i just felt like

this was a strategic moment for us to look to the word of god and set a vision in front of our eyes for what

this summer is going to look like.

And so I want to tell you, our brand new sermon series is called The Way.

Can you look at somebody next to you and say, don't get in the way?

Don't get in the way, all right?

Unless it's the way of Jesus.

Okay?

It's called The Way.

And this series is all about listening and responding to the voice of God.

Listening and responding to the voice of God. Y'all, we overcomplicate Christianity so much.

The simplicity of what Jesus invites followers into is summed up in the Gospel of John when he says,

I am the good shepherd. My sheep, hear my voice,

and respond to what I say. We've studied sheep a lot in our time together as a church.

Some of you who are seniors graduating, it was your freshman year of college that I got in front of you and preached a sermon called I'm a sheep. And we believe that the pathway

against anxiety looks like embracing your own neediness as a sheep. Sheep can't defend themselves.

They can't find sustenance. They can't even control the growth of fur on their own bodies.

Okay, they need help for every little detail of their lives in so many ways. They are

basically a victim of nature, except for this. They have amazing ears. And they have ears

that are created to be tuned into a particular voice. If you go to Israel, even now, to this day,
