For many people the house of God is a place of comfort. They come to be comfortable not to be fixed.

The Book of John is not about how to become a Christian.

The Book of John is now having become a Christian, the book of John is now having become a Christian, how do you grow in your experience with the Lord?

It's about intimacy.

There must be vertically and abiding with him. We've explained the word

abiding means you got to hang out with him. Visiting him once a week won't do. But he's also said in

1st John there must be a concomitant correspondence with our horizontal relationship with his family.

That is, if you are wanting to pursue him but being disconnected from his family,

then what you are doing is say his family doesn't matter

and you make yourself an only child.

That is the reason why God wants every believer to be a functioning part of a local body, a non-functioning believer that's disconnected is like a body part that's unattached.

A body part that's unattached doesn't get the life of the blood. And a Christian that is disconnected

doesn't get the life of the blood. Some things God will do for you just because you're his child.
