Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters.

We are picking up with a new devotional in the Bible app titled Renew with Romans by Tim Keller.

The scripture is Romans chapter 8 versus 1 through 4.

And they say this, so now there is no condemnation for those who

belong to Christ Jesus and because you belong to him the power of the life-giving

spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature.

So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own son in a body like the bodies we

sinners have and in that body God declared an end to sense control over us by giving his son as a sacrifice for our sins.

He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but

instead follow the spirit. The devotional says this. Romans 8, one of the best loved

chapters in the whole of scripture. We're going to focus on two things.

Number 1, what does Romans 8, verse 1 tell us about being in Christ and why is this wonderful news? And number two, what else happened

to Christians in verse two? The phrase Paul uses in verse one is much stronger than simply saying we are not condemned. It is that there

is no condemnation at all, no possibility of it. Now only are we not condemned, we can never and will never be condemned.
