Good evening. Tonight, I'll be reading chapters 15 and 16 of The War of the Worlds by

H.G. Wells. So let your eyes fall heavy and your breath soften as we settle in for a peaceful

Chapter 15 What had happened in Surrey? It was while the curate had sat and taught so

So far as one can ascertain from the conflicting accounts that have been put forth, the majority

of them remained busy with preparations in the horse or pit, until nine that night,

carrying on some operation that disengaged huge volumes of green smoke. But three certainly

came out about eight o'clock and, advance in slowly and cautiously, made their way through
