Well, by the time you hear this teaching edition of the Hankum blog podcast, many, many significant changes will have taken place in the current Iranian war.

And even now, as I speak, many senior Iranian officials have already been killed, and that includes

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Hamene.

All of this is a sobering reminder that everyone, and I mean everyone, irrespective of age, religious

affiliation or nationality, is ultimately going to die.

I've said it before and I'll repeat it right here.

The death rate is one per person and we're all going

to make it. King Solomon said it best. Sheal and Abatton, in other words, the realm of the dead,

are never satisfied. In Islam, just like in Christianity, there is, however, life after life,

life after life in that the soul is said to have conscious awareness after death. Now, while Islamic descriptions of hell are beyond gruesome, by contrast,

their descriptions of heaven are beckonly glorious, especially if you're a male martyr.

The hurries of Islamic tradition are particularly intoxicating.

Islamic scholars note that they're described in the Quran as chaste

with glancing eyes like pearls, of equal age or contemporary with the male believers

for whom they are intended as a reward.

They're good, they're lovely, they're buxom, they're virginal, and they are an enticement to many Muslims.

It was a 14-year-old would-be Palestinian suicide bomber who told Israeli troops who were disarming

him that blowing himself up was the only chance he'd have to have sex with 72 virgins

in the Garden of Eden.
