The Wages of Sin, as we pick up in Romans chapter 7 verse 9.

And now with today's study, here's Pastor Chuck. When Paul came to the realization that

the law was spiritual, and it was dealing really with the attitudes more than the actions of a man,

the attitudes from which the action spring, hey, wait a minute, I've never clubbed my brother to death, but I sure would have loved to.

You know, I was so mad I could have killed him.

And so he suddenly realized that that anger that was in him, that hatred that was there, was a violation of the law of God.

That strong desire that he had was a violation of the law of God. That strong desire that he had was a violation of the law of God. And so when the commandment came, hey, sin was there. It was alive. And I was

dead because the law condemned me to death. The law was now my judge, and it had condemned me to death

because I have violated the law spiritually in my heart, in my mind.

I'm guilty, and thus the law condemn me to death.

And the commandment which was intended to life, ordained to life, I found to be

unto death. The law from which I thought I was alive unto God was really a thing that condemned

me unto death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and it slew me. The law can do
