This is now not just a war to help a, you know, a young democracy.

It is a war to take on Russia and it was pretty explicit in those comments the way.

And the US has been much, much more aggressive with weapons, with aid and with its rhetoric

in the last, just in the last couple of days.

And especially, you know, so it's now much more of a, almost a proxy fight between the US and Russia

going back to the old Cold War.

So that's Elizabeth Miller, one of the lead reporters for the New York Times on this

war in Ukraine since the beginning saying that in the last couple of days, we have made a big

turn toward a proxy war. This is basically a proxy war.

Now, her saying that doesn't make it so, but I thought that was pretty, pretty interesting.
