Today we have a one and done-done series, and to be

honest, it's an obscure tale. It is about the first recorded attempt to sail around Africa,

which took place in 1291 AD. I say attempt because the heroes of our story, two brothers named

Van Dino and Uglololino Vivaldi, would set off on an epic journey only to disappear and never be heard

from again. The story of their journey is short and, while interesting, lacking in details.

But what is really fun about it all are the related tidbits and rumors and speculation that arise

because of their journey. Did our Genoese brothers manage to sail around the tip of

Africa? Did they reach Ethiopia and find the kingdom of Prestor John? Did the ancestors of the ship
