Maybe someone who's adversarial about your faith and angry at God.

Well, in the struggle between human stubbornness and divine grace, God always wins.

And today, on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall recounts a one-time Christian hater who became

an outspoken champion for Christ. In telling Paul's story, Chuck builds a case. No one is too

far gone for God's redemption. Chuck titled his message,

I would like to read for you the first nine verses of the ninth chapter of the book of Acts. If you will turn,

please, still continuing our study in the life and times of Paul, the apostle, we are getting another

look at him on the other side of the cross as he spent his many years before Christ

working against the things of God. Interestingly, doing it in the name of God. His testimony as recorded by Luke is in Acts 9,

verses 1 to 9 as we read of his remarkable conversion.

Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord,

went to the high priest and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus so that if

he found any belonging to the way both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

And it came about that as he journeyed, he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? And he said, who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom you are

persecuting. But rise and enter the city, and it shall be told you what you must do.

And the men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice, but seeing no one.

And Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing.

And leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus.
