following a 24 to 7 loss to the Eagles in which the Vikings did not score a point or

allow a point in the second half of the game.

Kirk Cousins threw three interceptions, posted the fourth worst quarterback rating of his

career and in the first half we thought it was going to be all the defense that was going to get shredded after this game

which they very much did by Jayland Hurts who by the way is capable of throwing the football

as he proved in this game.

And you know what helps is when no one covers the wide receiver

and he goes for a 53 yard touchdown.

You see when that happened last week against the Packers, the guy dropped it.

Well, Quiz Watkins did not drop it this time and cruised into the end zone for a touchdown.

It was a dominant performance from Jay Lynn Hurts in the first half.

Then the Eagles did actually a really good job for the most part of just draining clock,

draining clock. But they still trying to Eagles a little bit and let the Vikings back in the game.

They gave opportunities on a blocked field goal and an interception by Jaylin Hertz

and the Vikings refused to take advantage on this day.

And what I find interesting, Paul Hottak with me from WCCO radio, so

Paul what I find interesting about this game is a couple of different things.

I mean number one is that the storyline changed so quickly,

and we went from, oh boy, what a defensive debacle

in Philadelphia to, oh, wow, the belief in Kirk did not change the fact that he had the meltdown game against a team that checked all the boxes.
