and Hello welcome to the Vikings lost to the Raiders in the preseason so we should panic about them

0:27.7

losing their first preseason game probably not but we do have a lot to talk about Matthew collar here as always along

0:36.1

with Paul Hodawanick and yeah we just watched a preseason game and you know what

0:41.1

Paul it had everything that preseason games have it had

0:46.0

very very very very vanilla schemes had some plays by some players had some overreactions on Twitter,

0:55.0

in fact some very, very serious overreactions on Twitter,

0:59.0

and it was wrapped up with a backup quarterback at the very end of the game in the fourth quarter, delivering

1:06.4

a strike to the end zone and thus igniting the fan base and excitement. We have seen many of these things before, but we do have a lot to discuss, including, I think, I'm going to start off in the most interesting place for today, which is the fact that Sean Mannion came back in the game.

1:24.0

They had said equal reps, and I guess they meant equal reps.

1:28.3

And what I believe we can say about this is that the backup battle is yet to be determined still after this game.

1:38.0

Your thoughts, Paul.

1:40.0

Yeah, I'm not going to do the Kellynman has figured it out,

1:45.1

and he is easily the backup quarterback.

1:47.4

But I continue to be perplexed by Sean Mannion

1:51.6

and just kind of the love for him in the organization.

1:54.4

I think this game didn't change a ton for me.

1:56.8

It just kind of reinforced it, that Sean Manion's not that great of a quarterback.

2:01.6

And I know people make the argument that he's steady and he could get you through I just doing the going through the research I'm not sure I agree so just seeing him come back into the game. It's really like

2:10.6

What are we doing? This is a long long time veteran. I don't know how much time he needs out there with this

2:16.3

new offense and so I am by no means a big Kellynman stand but I I don't understand why you wouldn't have your second year quarterback, just take all those reps, why you throw Manion in there, just to put Manne back in there later. Like it was very, very wishy-washy and felt like they just wanted to say that they gave equal reps to say they gave

2:35.4

equal reps rather than one mania deserving more reps and two it making much sense at all in terms of the development of both those guys.

2:44.8

Yeah, based on practice, you could see why they started Sean Manion.
