On July 19, 1994, a man killed his estranged wife in a case that remained a bit hazy until his inevitable trial finally took place.

John D. Hall was married to Billy Joe Hall, and together with Billy's daughters from a previous

relationship, Jennifer and Cynthia, were soon joined by the pair's own children, Stephanie and

Jessica, and the family lived in Lexington, Tennessee.

Unfortunately, by 1994, the marriage between John and Billy was on the rocks,

and the pair began living separately. On July 29, 1994, in a story told by lawyers in the trial,

John D. Hall entered the home where Billy was now living in hopes of discussing a reconciliation.

With him was a $25 money order made out to Billy to help towards the child support.
