I got an interesting one for you today.

So this is a

podcast about medium friends. So I read this article, it was in the New York Times and it is by Lisa Miller and it was called

the vexing problem of the medium friend and I read it and I just immediately knew I had to chat about it with you guys because I've done

I've done topics I've done pods on friendship before and I just found this so interesting and so I'm going to first go through it and give you my highlights and then kind of apply it to some things that we talk about a lot on this podcast like bachelorette's like group

dinners birthday parties etc because I found I kind of like I found a lot

out about myself when I was reading this article. So, okay, so the article starts and they're like,

Tier 1 friends are friends that you would want to hang out with

under any circumstances. And I was like oh my

God okay I know those people in my life you know those people in your life for me that's

like Cliff Lucas pig Chloe you know, Brian, like, okay, Tier 1, I feel like that's pretty easy to identify.

And for me, like personally, they didn't say this in the article, but it's like the people

who I don't really need to catch up on my life.

Well like they know everything about my life because I catch up with them okay whatever.

So then you have the article says acquaintances or people that you kind of know and you're happy when you see them and I have a ton of these because I think I work in a very social industry

I've also lived in a lot of places I've walked a lot of different paths.

And I have a lot of just people,

like party friends that I see out,

I was so happy to run into them,

but I probably would never text them to hang out one on one or I would never
