Eutricht. I am recording this episode in the midst of a loud bookstore

after an event we just did with Grace Blakely an economist from the UK who was a member of the

Labor Party and who just wrote a new book called Stolen How to Save the World from Financialization

at an event at volume's book cafe in Chicago.

We talked to her about the book, about the forthcoming election in the UK and how we can

build solidarity across the Atlantic between the rising left in the

United States and the rising left in the United Kingdom.

So here's my conversation with Grace

let's let's start with just before we get into the sort of current

with just before we get into the sort of current event stuff that's going on in the UK. There's an

election that we're going to be talking about. There's the absolute boy himself

Jeza who we're getting into. But your book is called Stolen, how to save the world from financialization, and in the book you sort of lay out what financialization is, and that has a really strong impact on sort of what the labor party is going to do,

what we in the US as a rising socialist left here are going to do.

So let's just start with that basic idea.
