I'm Jacobin managing editor Micah Eutrikt.

Our series of interviews with socialists running for Congress continues with Anthony Clark.

Anthony is running for Illinois' 7th District, and it's his second run against a long-time incumbent Danny Davis.

He has a pretty fascinating life history which we discuss at length in this interview,

along with how Bernie Sanders inspired him to run for office,

how serving in the military shaped his views on foreign policy,

and his recent campaign video in which he smokes weed,

for which he got a bunch of attention.
