1:43.7 | Six states are voting as we speak and listen Michigan has 125 delegates up for grab. It's the biggest state today, but Washington, Missouri, Mississippi, Idaho and North Dakota are also voting lots of think pieces out there about the importance of Michigan for Senator Sanders campaign. |
2:03.7 | Sarah, here's what I thought about this weekend watching these two campaigns. I think it's past time for secret service protection. We're down to two people. |
2:13.7 | We had this scary incident where someone actually had a swastika in a Senator Sanders rally. We had someone come on stage and Jill Biden get between the vice president and the protester at one of Biden's events. I just think it's time to protect these folks. |
2:31.7 | Well, and I'm interested, especially with regards to Biden that they're not paying for their own security at this point. It seems like a real sort of blind spot. |
2:41.7 | Everything's ratcheting up as these primaries continue and the field whenows and it's going to be really interesting to watch the debate coming up with just two candidates on the stage. |
2:51.7 | And I mean, I think particular with the Michigan primary today, which Bernie won in 2016, everybody's going to be looking at him. And I think they know they need to win this state. |
3:01.7 | And it'll be really interesting to see what comes of it as everything as the pressure and the intensity. And even the security incidents is ratchet up. I think too you see this with Bernie's just schedule like he's canceling events. |
3:18.7 | He's focusing on Michigan. As we're recording today, he's having a roundtable about coronavirus, which is the first time this has sort of bubbled into the up in the primary and they're really paying attention to it as far as presidential politics are concerned. |
3:30.7 | And I think everybody is feeling the increased intensity for sure. |
3:36.7 | I think coronavirus is going to need to bubble up a lot more. I would honestly, in addition to them having some security, really appreciate everybody canceling more events. |
