And as we've been speaking about the etiquettes of du'at, I wanted to actually use this as

an opportunity to speak about the etiquettes of the du'at that we're speaking about but

brought in the lesson a bit.

Is it okay for a person to, instead of saying, Allah may

Technically, there is nothing wrong with it, but you would be missing out on some of the

benefits of it.

When you go into your Salah, when you go into your Sujood, could you replace subhanir Abiyy al-A'la

with subhanir Abiyy al-A'zim and do the same in recourse, do subhanir Abiyy al-A'la in

recourse instead of subhanir Abiyy al-A'zim?

No, because actually once it's within the Salah, then it follows the rules of the Salah,

it becomes fixed.

So the affair of du'ah, of actual supplication, open supplication, is far more vast, whereas

that which is tied to another fixed form of ibad, another fixed form of worship, is more

fixed.

And so, when you are in your Sujood, for example, if you said subhanir Abiyy al-A'la and

then you wanted to make other du'ahs in the Sujood in your tarawih, that's fine in

...
