I've discovered something recently.

You may already know it.

The stars are disappearing.

Over the past months I've immersed are disappearing.

Over the past months, I've immersed myself in research about the value of the night sky, the risks of losing natural darkness,

and the ever-expanding problem of light pollution.

And I need to curve my impulse to tell you everything I've learned.

There's just so much.

Because once your eyes open to the vanishing dark you see it everywhere.

We're going to meet a man who has spent the last several years researching and writing about light pollution

in an effort to save natural darkness. And then we'll go to a tiny neighborhood that's struggling

to hold on to the night.
