As we talked about on previous episodes, fatherlessness can be a really harmful thing for kids, and boys especially

can feel that absence.

I'm John Fuller and Danny Wertes with me, and Danny, work with clients what are some of the signs that just kind of indicate to you there's an absent father issue going on here

The most obvious one is a hunger for affirmation just wanting feedback, am I good enough, and depending on their

personality.

It doesn't come out verbally though, so what's the behavioral aspect of that?

Sometimes it's no limits, no boundaries are limits and they're just looking for

ways to be noticed and that could be with showing off or acting out in in class or

even just coming up and not knowing how to have a real

solid conversation and clearly looking for affirmation by it being all about

themselves or what I see is sometimes a lack of

respect where they haven't been taught that from a parent and especially a father.
