So, before we get into this episode, I just wanted to take some time to acknowledge that yesterday was September 11th.

21 years ago, Islamic terrorists hijacked planes and used them as weapons of mass destruction against Americans.

Claiming 2,977 lives and then subsequently leading to a 20-year war in Afghanistan that claimed the lives is so many more US service members who lay down their lives in the pursuit of freedom and in the line of duty.

So, I just want you to know that if you're listening, if you lost a loved one on September 11th or you lost a loved one serving overseas,

a loved one that lay down their lives for this country, I just want you to know that you're loved, you're thought about and that we're never going to forget and that we appreciate and honor your loved one's service and we appreciate and honor your loved one who lost their life 21 years ago.

So, I just wanted to take some time to acknowledge that and let you guys know that we're never going to forget that day.

It really leads me to think a lot about that quote from Ronald Reagan where he says, freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.

We didn't pass it toward children in the bloodstream, it must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

And it's not free, right? We saw it at stake 21 years ago when those Islamic terrorists attacked our country, attacked our people.

We saw it in this 20 year war in Afghanistan where brave men and women laid down their lives in the pursuit of freedom.

And we saw it a year ago in the withdrawal that led to the death of 13 service members.

And, you know, we're seeing it now even as a president took to address America at a prime time speech labeling 75 million Americans as essentially enemies of the state.

I mean, 21 years ago we were united against a common enemy.

Now it seems like we have people that are inclined to label their fellow Americans as the enemy.

So, I don't know how we got here, but it's just an important one to remember what happened 21 years ago.

To remember the 20 year war that led to the death of so many brave men and women.

And just to remember that freedom really isn't free.

You know, we've got to keep fighting for it, we've got to keep preserving it, we have to keep talking about it.

We can't let up fight.

Otherwise it's gone.

You know, we won't have it for ourselves or children won't have it or grandchildren won't have it.
