The expert guests are in culture, law, ethics, philosophy, theology,

and apologetics. Expert guests? Expansive topics. Always extolling Christ. Issues, etc.

So there's any number of reasons why not all Muslims who read the Quran end up waging jihad,

but there's been insufficient attention paid to the fact that the Quran itself can be the primary instrument of radicalization.

With my body, I be served. I mean, there's nothing in these vows about what I'm going to get out of this.

And that, you know, if it doesn't feel well for me, then I'm going to leave.

Or any hint or whiff of emotivism or self-fulfillment, it was just self-giving.

So in America, it's usually something along the lines of get religion out of schools,

get religion out of government,

and in fact, that would be quite contradictory to the biblical teaching and certainly our Lutheran

confessions. In this epiphany season, we'll hear about the desire of God to save even the Gentiles,

those who are far off scattered away. He's come for everyone, and he wants everyone

then to be baptized into him, even as he was baptized into us.

While snowblowing our driveways, Hardy Minnesotans love to listen to issues, etc.

The birth of a child is never bad news.

The circumstances of that birth might be less than ideal.

They might be terrible, but the birth of the child himself or herself is never bad news.

Children aren't unqualified good.

They are a gift from God, Scripture, teaches us. Do they have a purpose, these children,

in the formation and the maintenance of the American Republic, the role of children? We don't
