Many Christians are tempted to just avoid the Book of Revelation. It can seem confusing and hard to read. Yet this avoidance can leave us vulnerable to the misuses of this part of Scripture, especially in making sense of our world. Here to help us is distinguished Biblical scholar, Tremper Longman III. Join us as we dive into the helpful - and unhelpful - ways to read the final culminating book of the Bible.

2:10.0 | And Christians in making sense of the world are given a valuable tool by Jesus, which is the scriptures, the Bible. |
2:19.0 | However, there is one book in the New Testament that I think is the most avoided book by Christians and that is the book of Revelation. |
2:30.0 | I know many smart, otherwise biblically literate Christians who just avoid that book or try to start reading a few chapters and then give up in confusion. |

2:49.0 | Perhaps even in ways we're not aware, we're vulnerable to other Christians who don't hesitate to wield Revelation to promote their preferred way of making sense of the world. |
3:01.0 | So in order to make better sense of the world, we need to make better sense of Revelation, even if perhaps especially if we have tended to avoid this book as too confusing. |
