And today, the three of us are going to talk about Medicaid, which is basically public

private health insurance coverage

for some poor people in America, in some states. We'll get into that a little later. And specifically

how pandemic policies ending are about to throw our health finance system back into some of its

normal destructive chaos in the midst of a clearly still ongoing COVID pandemic

that is actually, you know, getting harder to see every day. So starting Saturday,

April 1st, two days after this episode airs, states will resume a process called Medicaid

redeterminations, which have been paused during the duration of the pandemic so far.
