You walk the aisle, you receive Christ.

On whatever basis you come to Christ, that is the bare bones beginning of your Christian existence.

And from that point on, you need to be involved in one thing, and that is discovering who you are in Christ.

You've got to find that out. You've got to find that out.

You've got to find it out in depth and detail,

ever-increasing detail,

which never stops until the day you die.

You need to know who you are in Christ.

The epistle to the Ephesian church

is bent on that purpose

to educate you on who you are in Christ.

This is very, very important for several reasons.

The main reason it's important is so that you will not be carried off in some strange direction

by some strange teaching that is not found in apostolic doctrine. And believe me, that can happen.

And does. You need to be so grounded that you can never be swayed from your faith.

Now, today, we're looking at Ephesians on a continuing basis, looking at this book in order to

determine the will of God for our lives.

That's a little bit different way than we ordinarily look at the book of Ephesians.
