Ezra Stiles was the president of Yale where Edwards was a student at one time.

He said something like, in a very short time, Jonathan Edwards' writings are going to be noticed scarce above oblivion.

And it's just such a telling remark into the way God actually works, in that he loves to take these backwards out of the way

skinny introverted preachers who die with 300 books in their library and use them for centuries

after to do exactly what Ezra Stiles predicted would never happen.
