Well, we have been going through the book of Acts,

and on this trip through Acts, what we're doing is studying the history of the Holy Spirit.

Now, the name of the book of the Acts is Prahez, in the Greek, which means history.

The history of the apostles.

But actually, when you really look at the book of Acts, it's the history of the Holy Spirit.

That is to say, the Holy Spirit was given to humanity on the day of Pentecost,

and then you can actually trace the progress

and the will of God through His Holy Spirit as you go through the Book of Acts.

So let's go back to Acts chapter 17, starting in about verse 23 and review. Today we'll go into Acts chapter 18 and then maybe

even 19 if we have time. But who knows? Acts chapter 17, the Holy Spirit has taken Paul in a very

special way by himself to Athens. It was his plan on second missionary journey

to venture around the Aegean Sea to the north, come in through Philippi, Thessalonica, Berea,

and on south through Macedonia into Achaea. With him would be Luke and Silas and others, other disciples that he had gathered

with him on that trip.

Well, owing to some problems that he encountered in Thessalonica, he had to take a sea route

by himself, take a boat, and he sailed south to Athens, and he arrived there by himself, almost Mr. Anonymous,
