Summary

The United States coronavirus death toll is nearly triple the number of the U.K. coronavirus death toll, which has the second highest number of coronavirus deaths in the world. The United States coronavirus death toll is also more than the coronavirus death tolls of Italy, France and Spain combined. United States now accounts for one in four coronavirus deaths worldwide and is nearly enough to fill every seat in the largest college football stadium. The United States coronavirus death toll is 80 percent people 65 years old and older and is linked to long-term care facilities.  Trump has been silent so far about the United States topping 100,000 coronavirus deaths. Joe Biden calls milestone "heart-rending" in video response. Dr. Fauci is wearing a mask as symbol of what "you should be doing" while President Trump has said "I don't see it for myself."  Dr. Fauci also says new cases will surge with reopenings won't appear for weeks, as new cases are trending up in 14 states and are down in 19. One doctor in Alabama says that infections are returning "with a vengeance."  Swing state voters who have been hit with economic crisis are divided on President Trump.   To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
