| 0:29.0 | Welcome to the Dr. Berg's Healthy Kito and Interminute fasting podcast, where Dr. Berg takes you on the journey for the truth about getting healthy and losing healthy weight. Hi guys I'm back with another video and I have a question what is the |
| 0:49.1 | sickest country in the world can you take a while guess? You guessed it. The US of A, that's right, has one of the highest |
| 0:56.5 | death rates of any country in the world. Over a hundred million Americans have either pre-diabetes or they're a diabetic. |
| 1:07.0 | That's one-third of the entire population. |
| 1:10.0 | Now what's behind this is insulin resistance? |
| 1:13.5 | I would imagine probably 65 to 70 percent, maybe even 80 percent of the population |
| 1:18.9 | has insulin resistance because you have to have that for a period of maybe 5, 10, even 20 years before you even get |
| 1:26.4 | pre-diabedies. So this is really a symptom of high insulin. Of course they're not making the |
| 1:31.8 | connections. |
| 1:33.0 | One of the highest obesity rates per capita in the world. |
| 1:38.0 | Welcome to America. |
| 1:39.0 | One of the highest rates of heart disease and upper respiratory infection. |
| 1:45.0 | I want to talk about the bigger countries, not countries that have maybe 15,000 people or islands or something like that, |
| 1:51.0 | because there are certain small countries and even islands that are even |
| 1:55.3 | worse but their population is like 15,000 so I'm not including them in this evaluation. |
| 2:00.9 | But this is the question that I have. We have this conflicting piece of information here. |
| 2:06.7 | We spend the most for health care, 3 trillion every single year. |
| 2:15.0 | Yet we have the worst health. Okay, now wait a second. |
| 2:16.5 | We're spending all this money to get the absolute worse health. |
