Be strong and courageous. Those are the words that the Lord spoke to Joshua as he was sending

him across the Jordan to take possession of the promised land. Pastor Brian Wolf Miller talking

come from? From Joshua's strength? From the number of soldiers? No, from the promise,

I will not leave you or forsake you. The Christian is courageous to face all of the troubles of

this world, not because we're strong, not because we can resist the world and the flesh and the devil

on our own, but because the

Lord is with us. The Lord fights for us. The Lord keeps us through all the troubles of life into

Republicans are a little bit higher up on the slippery slope than Democrats are, but we're all

sliding down, and the bottom is close to slope than Democrats are, but we're all sliding down. And the bottom is

close to where the Democrats are now, where they're positively celebrating abortion. We forget

that our confidence isn't in ourselves. It isn't in our marketing ability. It isn't in our

ability to get rave customer reviews. It isn't in our ability to make people feel at home.

The power of the church to address the world

is the power of truth,

a truth which is not an idea,

but the flesh and blood of a savior.

The Bible isn't about us.

Bible is for us. And in its for-usness, it presents Jesus to us.
