Hello, everybody. Welcome to The Untold Story. I'm Martha McCallum. Very glad to have with me this week, Callie Means joining me. Some of you are probably familiar with Callie Means and his sister, Casey Means, Dr. Casey Means,

So for those who are not familiar with you yet, give us a little sense of you and your sister and how you both began on this mission.

Martha, it starts with my sister, who was a top graduate from Stanford Med School,

research at the NIH, did everything right and did surgical residency.

And she was doing her third sinusitis surgery of the day. That's sinus inflammation. She was a head

and neck surgeon. And she had this out-of-body experience where she didn't realize why that patient

below her scalpel was actually inflamed, was actually sick. She only learned how to cut the inflammation

out. And she started going down to Rabahoe and realizing that she never learned why people

get sick. She didn't know why every patient that she was doing inflammation surgery on also had diabetes,
