So I've always done this program organically, and I've been doing, I think, a better job

of getting my notes together and preparing for each episode in the last several episodes.

And I got a text the other day from someone who follows us asking me if I could speak more about the unconscious.

And for those of you who have followed this program for a while,

I strictly believe that the notion of the unconscious is being responsible for our behaviors

or as this murky reservoir that supersedes our consciousness

is simply either a myth, a mystery, or a misunderstanding.

And if you've ever read any of the works by Freud or an incredibly informative

and complex book, the discovery of the unconscious, taking a psych 101 class, watched law and

order, you've heard about the unconscious. And where it's this place where all your deep and dark

secrets supposedly live repressed desires hidden traumas the things that we can't face again

this this murky nebulous um again, construct. And I think in our just nomenclature and how we talk,

we talk about it casually. That's my unconscious talking. Oh my God, that was a Freudian slip.

That was my unconscious. I unconsciously thought about that.

And my unconscious fears took over.

But I think that this entire picture is outdated.
