Oh, profound words. How true it is. There is an uncertainty to death.

In fact, there is a certain uncertainty to death. The Bible says it's appointed a man wants to die and after this the judgment, but beyond the certainty that all

men are going to die if the Lord Terry's is coming, there is a great deal of mystery surrounding

the details of our death because our times are known only by God.

Our times truly are in his hand.

We come to a verse today at Ecclesiastes chapter 8.

It's Ecclesiastes 88, where Solomon says there is no man that hath power over the spirit

to retain the spirit.

Neither hath he power in the day of death and there is no discharge

in that war neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it this is an amazing confession

a confession of truth it is solomon's confession that for all of his money, he could not buy another day,

for all of his wisdom, he could not know when he was going to die, for all of his power,

he had no control to keep his spirit or to release his spirit.

It is a reminder of the uncertainty of death. In fact, he says here, there is no man.

No man has that power. No man has that knowledge that is in God's alone. Let me give you some

certain uncertainties about your death. Number one, you don't get to choose how you die.
