Recently I was driving in morning rush hour, just barely creeping along.

When I noticed a car in the lane next to me, it was bright neon green.

As the traffic ebbed and flowed, the side of the car soon left my sight and my mind,

as other things distracted me.

But then a few miles down the road, I noticed a wreck up ahead blocking traffic.

As I got closer, I saw it was the same bright neon green car.

Everyone inched by them.

I noticed that no one was hurt, and everyone involved was exchanging their information.

But I couldn't help but think about the uncertainty of life.

I had seen that car just moments before, the driver had no clue what would happen, just

a few moments later, and honestly none of us do.

So our theme for this meditation from Ecclesiastes chapter 11 is uncertainty, facing uncertainty

in the midst of chaos and doubt.

So as we begin, we stress here quietly in the midst of the noise, whether at the beginning

or the end of your day, we just intentionally seek peace in the chaos, trust in the uncertainty.

So continue now by taking three deep belly breaths as your eyes drift from open, into

a soft focus, and then to closed, as trust in this place of assurance.
