0:00.0	God does things and we do things. God does things and Satan does things. And yet God overrules.
0:08.8	And he overrules in such a way as to guarantee your good. Not what you think of as good, but what he thinks of as good.
0:24.4	In what he thinks of as good. In Romans chapter 8, we read that all things work together for the good of those who love God

1:19.0	Well, here's Ligonier Teaching Fellow, Derek Thomas on Romans 8, 28.
1:26.4	We come in this study to the best known verse, perhaps in Romans 8, and one that means a great deal
1:35.1	to many Christians, and I suspect to you too. And it's the sort of Calvinistic verse in Romans 8, 28.
1:49.2	And it begins a lengthy section that includes the doctrine of foreknowledge and predestination and all of that. And the verse, of course, that I'm referring to is,
1:56.2	and we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called
2:04.5	according to his purpose. If you live inside this massive promise, your life is more solid and stable than Mount Everest.
2:20.6	Nothing can blow you over when you are inside the walls of Romans 828.
2:27.4	Outside of Romans 828, all is confusion and anxiety and fear and uncertainty. Outside this promise of all-encompassing future grace,
2:40.8	there are straw houses of drugs and alcohol and numbing TV and dozens of futile diversions.
2:49.6	There are slat walls and tin roofs of fragile investment strategies
