lately. We're going to talk about layoffs. In March, layoffs hit highs that we haven't seen since the early days of the

pandemic. And while much of that is due to what's going on in the government, what's happening

at the Department of Government Efficiency or Doge, the fear is that this is spreading nationwide.

And that is actually happening.

Nationwide layoffs are up by 103% from the same period last year.

That's according to data from Challenger Gray and Christmas.

And some of the companies that have recently let people go include Volvo,

Google, Meta, Amazon, Mattel, ABC News, CNN. I could go on. I won't. And of course,

the big question many of us ask when we hear news like this is, what about me? Is my job going to disappear this year or

soon-ish? That's where my guest today comes in. Peter Raybar is an employment attorney. He's a
