What's up, guys? Today, I'm going to cook for you a delicious meal of clarity because the single

biggest question that I ever get over and over and over again thousands of times now is

what asset class should I invest in for me specifically? And while I agree with Alex Hermosie

that you should never speak in shoulds, I can share some good rules of thumb and practical frames

of reference for you guys to use in your decision-making process to figure out what perhaps

is the best path for you, because there is nothing more important than what you choose to work on.

Like, seriously, that is the most important superpower. Doesn't matter about your

resources, your intelligence, how much money you have. What matters is if you take person A focused on

the right type of work and the right type of opportunity for them versus person B that just

chose a random opportunity and a random type of work that was assigned to them,

and you put both people neck and neck for a decade, person A is going to be a thousand

times further than person B. An example of this is if you took person A that from 2008 to

2018 invested in index funds, they would have some material success, right? But if that same

person had focused on multifamily apartments from 2008 to 2018, they would be worth between

$20 to $60 to $100 million because that's what a lot of my friends did in that exact time period.

So again, I'm not here to tell you how to invest your money or where to invest your

money, but what I can give you are three questions to ask that will really,

really help you today on your journey.

Question number one is, what am I optimizing for?

Am I optimizing for wealth or for cash flow?

Question number two is, what is my investing timeline? Huge question. Nobody asks because
