Good morning and welcome back. So to continue our 10-day series, let's get straight to number six with this question.

What do you think is the most

important skill to succeed in the 21st century? Of all the skills that there are, what do you think is

most important? Here's the answer. The most important skill of the 21st century will be learning

to control your attention, prevent distractions, and keep your focus on what's really important

to you, your goals,

and your future for your family. Tell me if this doesn't sound familiar. You start working on a

project, like, you know, let's take me for instance. Let's say I start writing my publisher's letter,

and then I come up with a George Washington reference that I need to verify. So I go to Google.

It leads me to Wikipedia and then I find

out that our four other web links that are there on that page and I start going down to each of them.

And then that leads me to a video on YouTube. And then five clips later, I find a really

inspirational one about Amelia Earhart, which now I'm twittering about and linking to Facebook.

I answer some questions on Facebook,

and then I see some other really interesting tweets. So I start down those rabbit holes. I tag a few

things to read later on Delisius. I send two emails to colleagues about something that I found.

And then I notice that 20 new emails are in my inbox. So I start replying to those as well.

One person calls me after getting my email
