Malachai 4-5, this is the end of the Old Testament,

there's 400 years of silence between this prophecy

and the coming of our Savior Jesus.

We dealt with this last week in Father's Day,

more Father's less government.

But here's what he says, I will send you, who's coming?

Elijah, the prophet before the Lord comes.

So Jesus is coming, but before Jesus comes,

Elijah needs to come to prepare the way

for the coming of Jesus.

There is a dual fulfillment in this prophecy.

A prophecy is where God predicts and anticipates

the future because he rules and controls it.

Let me say this, the future is not open, it's closed, it's not uncertain, it's certain.

Give you a weird analogy that comes to mind.

How many of you are sports fans like me?

I like sports.

I like baseball, basketball, football.

I like mixed martial arts.

I'm a sports fan.

How many of you, how many of you have ever seen like E-SPN classics?
