hey everybody welcome back to twisted history podcast this week is the twisted

twisted and finally heard the mascots podcast i'm only talking about this

because we've got more feedback on mascots than i think anything else

i you know people have shitty mascots all around i live in rural Alaska

a village up here adiak has a mascot called the half breeds

not fucking bad that's kind of bad yeah that's yeah have you ever heard a

like the word half-breed be used in anything but um so anyway so to make it a

touch worse the mascot is a picture of a white man and a native woman the

village is super proud of the name as it has a lot to do with those

history and have refused to change it multiple times

i checked the met because you know a lot of times people send me stuff that's

no longer exists you know like certain things have been thrown out

the adiak half breeds is a white dude looking at an inuit woman

with a rifle and harpoon crossing i i i think this is one of those ones you let go

i think this is okay on December 4th just to let you know there's still a

very active and flourishing and probably wonderful school on December 14th

of last year the half breeds place third at a state volleyball tournament they
